Professional Coral Solutions Nitrate Booster provides an essential nutrient
source to assist in biologically balancing of ultra-low nutrient systems which
are nitrate limited.
Professional Coral Solutions recommends that you keep your aquarium at a
nitrate level between 1ppm and 5ppm and in balance with the phosphates.
To calculate the correct balanced phosphate level, take your nitrate reading
and divide it by one hundred.
A dose of 1ml will raise the nitrate level by 0.5ppm (mg/L) for each 100L of
tank water.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Trace Elements:
A: After the initial week of topping up the chemical sink, a 1000 mls of Trace Elements will last a medium stocked 1000 Liter system, around 2.5 months.
Q: Do I need to keep on using alkalinity, magnesium and calcium solutions when using your trace-elements?
A: Yes, our solutions contain very small amounts of trace-elements and do not take the place of dosing the macro-elements. You will still need to dose these major additives into your tank to create a stable chemical environment.
Q: The Trace Elements contain strontium, boron, and potassium, so do I still need dosing these elements separately into my system?
A: The Trace Elements only contain trace-amounts of these elements which are used up daily in the laying down of coral skeleton and in cellular processes. You need to make sure these elements are within acceptable parameters in your system by adding, when needed.
There will be a little precipitation of chemistry in solution 2.
Q: Can I put your trace-element solutions in a Randy’s 2-part mix?
A: If you are using Randy’s 2-part mix or a commercial blend, it is important that the correct trace element solution is added to the correct chemical solution.
At rate of 10mls/Liter: -
Solution 1 is added to the Magnesium solution.
Solution 2 is added to the Calcium solution.
Solution 3 is added to the Alkalinity solution.
